Today’s episode:

Apparently, my son is NOT allowed to knit or crochet at Grandpa’s house because—and I quote the general sentiment here—little boys don’t do yarn. That’s women’s work.

Sir. 😭

It’s 2026. He’s learning patience, creativity, fine motor skills, and how to MAKE SOMETHING WITH HIS OWN TWO HANDS. 🧶👏🏼

It’s a part of our homeschool curriculum and I want to give it a whirl.

And also… he’s 5. He’s not threatening the social order with a crochet hook. 😂

I love my grandpa dearly. ❤️
I also regularly leave conversations with him thinking, “What in the 1931 was THAT?!” 💀

✨ Habit stacking because apparently there are still only 24 hours in a day. 😂

Life is BUSY, and I’ve realized if I wait until I have dedicated time for every little thing I want to do for myself… half of it isn’t happening.

So we’re stacking. 👏

🔴 Red light therapy + facial brushing/lymphatic massage
〰️ Vibration plate + whatever else I can accomplish standing there 😂
🚶‍♀️ Walking + tapping
☀️ Morning sunshine + Qigong

Basically: if I’m already doing one thing, what can I safely pair with it?

Today it’s red light while using my facial brush almost like a gua sha—gentle strokes to encourage lymphatic movement while the light does its thing. ✨

Not everything needs its own 30-minute slot in the schedule. Sometimes taking care of yourself means getting creative with the time you already have.

Work smarter, not harder… because mama has shit to do. 😂🤌

I didn’t wanna…. But I did.

I just wasn’t feeling it. When I’m not home, workouts are difficult for me. I’m in a room, limited space, hot.

But I decided last week that I wasn’t gonna make excuses for myself. LFGOOOOOOO…

✨ Unlocked an old favorite… and I forgot how ridic

✨ Unlocked an old favorite… and I forgot how ridiculously easy it is.

Somehow Dutch babies disappeared from our kitchen for a while. Then I remembered…

Sourdough starter.
🥚 Eggs.
🧈 Butter.
A few pantry staples.

That’s basically it.

Twenty-five minutes later… this golden, puffy masterpiece comes out of the oven looking like I spent way more effort than I actually did. 😂

Top it with:
🍓 Fresh berries
🍯 Honey
🍁 Maple syrup
🍋 A squeeze of lemon with powdered sugar
🥜 Nut butter
…or just eat it straight from the pan. I won’t judge. 😏

We topped with Cinnamon Sugar and some @haagendazs_us vanilla

I’m all about recipes that use simple ingredients, don’t require a sink full of dishes, and still make everyone think you’re a wizard in the kitchen.

This one definitely earned a permanent spot back in our rotation. 🤍

Well… the final yield is in. 😂

After about 2–3 hours of harvesting, trimming, cleaning, removing those tiny itchy hairs (seriously… who designed those? 😅), and drying…

✨ I ended up with about ½ cup of dried rose hips.

Was it worth it?

Ask me again after I make my first cup of tea. ☕😂

For such a tiny fruit, they’re pretty incredible:
❤️ Naturally high in vitamin C
🛡️ Rich in antioxidants that help combat oxidative stress
🌿 A favorite for teas, tinctures, and hydrosols

I have a whole new appreciation for herbalists and small businesses who sell high-quality herbs. Suddenly, $15 for a bag of organic dried rose hips doesn’t seem expensive… it seems like a bargain. 🤣

That said, there’s something deeply satisfying about knowing these came from my own yard and were harvested by my own hands. Every sip will remind me of the work that went into them.

🌹 Rose hips seemed like a great idea… until I actually harvested them. 😂

I had visions of cozy herbal teas, beautiful tinctures, nourishing hydrosols, and jars full of homemade goodness.

What I didn’t plan for? 😅

Those tiny little hairs inside the rose hips. If you know, you KNOW. They’re basically nature’s itching powder, and cleaning every single one out was so unbelievably tedious that about halfway through I started thinking…

“Maybe that $15 bag isn’t such a bad deal after all.” 🤣

But here’s why people have been using rose hips for centuries:

One of the biggest challenges that I am overcoming is the love that I have for my body. Most days I am not happy with it. Why? Social media? Cultural standards?

This body carried a baby that I waited a long time for. This body has been to hell and back.
I workout regularly, fuel my body with whole foods and do my best to treat it with respect, honoring God’s gift.

She hasn’t failed me yet. She is strong. She is a warrior. I am strong. I am a warrior.

Everyday I step into a battle zone.
I will not let the enemy win and hate my body the way he wants me to. Who cares if I have cellulite or a belly?

This year, I am gonna be intentional with accepting my body. Thanking my body. Praising my body. Getting rid of the negative self talk that makes the enemy win.

✨ Yesterday, “work” looked a little different.

☕ Coffee date with my mini.
💻 A few hours building something I’m really excited about.
🤝 A mentor meeting that filled my cup.
🌯 A stop at my favorite taqueria on the way home because… balance.

Meanwhile, my husband stayed home with our little guy, and my village showed up so I could pour into me for a little while.

For so many years, work felt like fluorescent lights, meetings, deadlines, and waiting for 5 o’clock.

Now? Sometimes work looks like dreaming big from a coffee shop, creating things I’m passionate about, learning from people ahead of me, and eating a burrito the size of my head. 😂

I’m slowly learning that building a life you love doesn’t happen overnight. It happens one coffee, one conversation, one opportunity, and one brave step at a time.

Life is really, really good. ❤️

I’ve been struggling getting into my new groove la

I’ve been struggling getting into my new groove lately.
I’m a few months in and I still feel like it’s fresh.
Being away from home 3 days a week, I have my kiddo with me, but I am missing home and my routine terribly.

God has provided for my family and He has transitioned us into a chapter that looks soooo different than before.

I am a caretaker, medical proxy, homeschool mama, sourdough baker (still struggling with this one, but at least my English muffins are finally on point☺️) and an entrepreneur.

Somewhere along the way, my workouts, while still there, suffered. I love my heavy weight training, but we’ve pivoted into a season where in order to have consistent workouts, I need something that I can do when on the move.

Thank goodness for @hanahraejones and her Daily Fit workouts. We are pivoting and we are getting it in where we can.

Finally cracked the code on sourdough English muffins. 🙌

Fluffy. Golden. Delicious. Everything I wanted them to be.

One of the reasons I was so determined to figure them out? My little guy LOVES a good breakfast sandwich. 🥪❤️

And honestly… I think he came out that way because I ate breakfast sandwiches almost every morning while I was pregnant with him. 😂

There’s something special about recreating foods from scratch that become part of your family’s story. Simple ingredients, slow processes, and a little persistence.

Now excuse me while I keep making batch after batch because I don’t think store-bought English muffins are making it back into this house anytime soon. 😅

Today’s breakfast looked like:
🤎 Pot roast
🥦 Broccoli + asparagus
🧈 Grass-fed butter on homemade sourdough English muffins
🍓 A2 organic yogurt with honey, strawberries & blueberries
🥕 Ginger + carrot + apple + lemon juice shot

And before someone says “that’s a lot for breakfast…” — yep. Intentionally. 👏🏼

Starting my day with:

✨ healthy fats + carbs
✨ 60+ grams of protein

Because under-eating was wrecking my recovery, sleep, and energy more than I realized. 😅

The more I learn about nourishment, the more I realize:

👉🏼 minerals matter
👉🏼 eating enough matters
👉🏼 breakfast is NOT the enemy

Got to visit our happy place a few weeks ago.
After a wild couple of days at Disneyland, we got to stop in Pismo for a night. To play, relax and have some of our favorite foods.

Life has been crazy lately, but it’s been so great.
Leaving federal service has been so freeing. Started my own business and being present for my family.
So blessed to have a husband that is busting his butt to support our little family.

Dinner last night was one of those “throw together

Dinner last night was one of those “throw together what sounds good” meals… and honestly? 👏 SO 👏 GOOD 👏

We used:🍜 Lotus Foods organic millet + brown rice ramen (Costco)🍗 Chicken with whatever seasoning/marinade sounded right🧄 Garlic🌱 Green onions🥕 Carrots🍄 Mushrooms🌿 Cilantro🫛 Peas✨ Mung bean sprouts🫚 Ginger

Cook the chicken + noodles separately first.Then toss your veggies into a wok and cook them however YOU like them 👌 Add the noodles + chicken back in, pour in some sauces (we used coconut aminos + Japanese BBQ sauce 🤤), let it all cook down together, then top with sesame seeds.

Easy peasy. No complicated recipe. No measuring cups. Just real food and a little creativity 🖤

There’s something about tending roses that slows m

There’s something about tending roses that slows me all the way down 🌹

Not just cutting them for beauty…
but using every part of what they give.

Yesterday looked like:
✨ clipping fresh blooms for the house
✨ harvesting petals at their peak
✨ starting rose cuttings (praying these babies root 🤞🏼)
✨ building a scrappy little greenhouse to keep them warm + humid

And then…
washing each petal, laying them out, and letting them slowly dry in the dehydrator 🌿

This is the part I didn’t expect to love so much—
the process.

Turning something fleeting into something that lasts…
tea, remedies, little jars of goodness I can come back to later.

Nothing wasted.
Everything appreciated.

It’s not perfect.
It’s not fancy.
But it feels like the kind of life I’ve been craving.

Soft. Slow. Intentional.

And honestly… a little wild 🌹

After a particularly emotional day, I had to take

After a particularly emotional day, I had to take a step back, take a deep breath and exhale. Inhale the good and exhale the bad. I let the tears flow for a bit and brushed it off.

Reminding myself that, others actions have nothing to do to do with me. I know better, but it is just really difficult when you are doing everything to help, but they are just not trying to hear you and see you as an opponent.

So, I went outside. Sat on the earth, ate dinner in the sunset, had silly conversations with my sweet boy, went for a walk with the dog. Saw beauty in the hard day. Reset myself. Walked away when I knew I wasn’t being heard. I know myself and I know my intentions are good.

Tonight was one of those nights that reminds me why I love this life so much.

Homemade corn tortillas warm off the pan.
A bright cilantro lime crema whipped up with yogurt and garden herbs.
Fresh tomatillo salsa.
And home-ground chuck sizzling on the stove.

Real food. Simple ingredients. Full plates.

But the best part?
Watching my boy absolutely go to town on the cilantro crema… trying to scrape every last drop out like it was liquid gold. 😂

There is something so deeply satisfying about feeding the people you love with food made by your own hands.

The kitchen was messy.
The tortillas weren’t perfectly round.
But the table was full of laughter… and that’s the kind of perfection I’m after these days.

We wrapped up the night the way good nights should end —
a bike ride in the evening air and kiddo cruising around on his little quad while the sun disappeared.

These are the moments I want to remember.
Slow food.
Wild childhood.
Full hearts.

And a mama who’s grateful she gets to make it all happen. 🤍
